My name is Flavia Serangeli.
I was nine when my parents moved to Rome where I soon developed a special love for all that was ancient and ruins attracted me more than any game. At school I studied latin and greek and I took Archaeology and Ancient History at the University.
I wanted hard to be an archaeologist , instead I became an official guide of Rome in 1981. But my early passion never died and at the moment I am specializing in underground archaeological research. Have you seen the Colosseum and the Roman Forum? Believe me, you have only seen the top of the iceberg!
I can show you how much more there is to discover: grandiose roman remains, extended villas or huge aqueducts, wonders of a powerful architecture, but also the witnesses of an every day life, with its joys and its sorrows, often deeply buried under the surface of the city, to where most people will never even think to descend. |
My name is Guia Bargigli, and Rome is my native city. “Guia” means guide, so my name was my destiny. The knowledge and love for Rome runs in the family. My father was a guide, he showed me a lot of the secret places of Rome only a true roman knows.
Born in the shadow of St. Peter's, the gardens of Castel Sant'Angelo were my playground. Growing up I developed a veritable thirst for further information about the treasures my father had shown me.
I studied Art, History and Languages in Rome University and after a short period of teaching in 1989 I became an official tour guide for Rome and the Vatican.
Since then, I have worked for numerous international companies, tours and conventions, experiences which further enriched my knowledge and professional skills.
Now the time is right to start something new. Our goal is to reveal aspects of the Eternal City which remain elusive to ordinary groups of tourists. |
Hi, my name is Marta Marsili, I was born and raised in Rome. When I was a child I used to travel with my family all over Europe visiting every church, museum and archaeological site. Those adventurous summers planted the seed of what I’m now, introducing in my life a great passion for art, history and ancient remains.
I travelled abroad living for a while in South America and England. I worked in public relations, as a teacher and graphic designer, I wrote for magazines and cinema, trying to understand how my eclectic background and interests would became a professional activity.
I got my degree in Humanities at Rome University and then I became an authorized guide in Rome.
I’ve been helping guests navigate this marvellous city during the last 15 years and I still enjoy it like the first day: my goal is to provide you with the most enjoyable, educational and memorable time in the eternal city! |
My name is Ilaria Marsili, I am a local guide since 2000.
When I was young and reflected upon what to study I realized that my main interests were just two: Human beings and history. So I choose to study History and Social Anthropology.
During my life as a student I travelled and lived abroad getting in touch with different people and cultures.
Coming back home to dispute my graduation thesis I suddenly realized how much I had missed my city and how deeply fond of it I was.
Rome is just “unique”: it is great, sprawling, confusing but marvellous. It is so rich in history and works of art that even a lifetime is not long enough to understand and appreciate all the city has to offer. I stayed in Rome and after all I found the perfect job for me: meeting people and explore Rome.I love to share with my guests my own enduring delight in the Eternal city. |

to tailor private tours.
