	Be a Roman Gladiator for a day. Ancient Rome for kids, Families and Groups of Friends

Your Roman vacation will be special if you experience to live as an ancient roman by training to become a roman gladiator.

We’ll start the tour going to the Old Appian Way to walk on the ancient historical cobblestones and start getting acquainted with the ancient roman times discussing about generals and emperors, while we visit the mausoleum of Cecilia Metella and the Circus of Maxentius.

Maxentius Circus is, by far, the best preserved in the region and will give us an idea of these favorite roman games and spectacles of the ancient times: ‘the chariot races ‘.

The ‘Gladiatorial School’ is located in the surroundings of the Appian Way. Professional trainers will introduce you to the roman war technique and military traditions to teach you, for a couple of hours, the basic techniques of gladiatorial fighting (wooden sword will be used). It’s a physical training that will completely engage you to give you, at the end, the skills to perform your ‘first duel’ as a roman gladiator. Be ready to perform real exercise as the Gladiators makes you work!

It's an experience particularly suggested for families with kids or groups of friends as you’ll experience a different way to interact and get to know each other.

The staff is specially trained to deal with children. This may be ‘the lasting memory’ of your kids in Rome!

The tour to the Gladiatorial school will be completed with the amusing visit of the local museum where you’ll see and wear replicas of ancient helmets and weapons. You’ll have pictures of yourself dressed as a roman fighter . Interesting explanations will be given on ancient military technique, roman camps and war machines.

At the end of the tour you’ll be an expert roman fighter, will receive a special certificate of accomplishment and consecrated with a toast to future glory.
