Colosseum - Mamertine Prison - Saint Peter in the Vatican
A visit to the places that saw the early christians die to defend their faith, to end up where everythig started with the first persecution of Nero and the death of Peter

 

Our itinerary starts at the Colosseum where, according to the tradition, the early Christians faced the agony of the wild beasts. From there we walk to the nearby jail of the Apostles, the Mamertine Prison, where Peter is said to have converted his warders.
We end at the Vatican, where Saint Peter was crucified among other martyrs during the first Christian persecutions of Nero.
We will visit Saint Peter Basilica built on his grave and the Tomb of Pope John Paul II.

If we tour in high season we can book reservation to skip the line to enter saint Peter Basilica, reservation is required at the Colosseum too.

Starting at the Coliseum only a cab ride is required to reach the Vatican
